The current project that our staff is working
on is consuming ALL
of our time and energy, leaving very little
time to give the proper attention to any computer customers.
I really have to offer
my personal appologies to anyone who is inconveinienced
by this stoppage of service. I am currently thowing all
my resources into a project I believe deeply in, so please
show some respect and give me some time to do this. I will
let people know when/if we are back in business.
The constant phone calls
at inappropriate times asking for tech support for other
companies products are wearing me out. Somehow local people
found out which days I'm taking off, and I'm getting 30-40
phone calls PER DAY when I'm at home. I've
received phone calls from 6:30 am til midnight. I can't
take my mother out for a birthday supper without being paged
at the restaurant (multiple times). I can no longer afford
to provide free (or any) phone support to ANYBODY. I'm also
getting HUNDREDS of emails every day. I can't be expected
to answer every one of them, so don't be offended.
Right now I cannot travel
ANYWHERE without fear of being hassled about somebody's
computer issue. I can't attend a parade with my kids without
being bothered by people on the floats because they can't
get their email. I can't go camping with my family without
being quizzed. I can't go ANYWHERE any more without being
asked to provide free advice., and a lot of those "quick
little problems" are anything but. I realize there
is a complete lack of any other qualified computer help
in this area, but would you walk up to a doctor who is having
dinner with his family and ask him to have a quick look
at the boil on your posterior? Please at least TRY to find
solutions on your own.
Repair services MAY however
resume in the future. Please note that I am working FULL
TIME at another project.
New computer sales will not
resume any time that I can see. I enjoy system design and
research, but can no longer afford the time to do it. Building
your own computer and having it run the latest games is
relatively easy. Designing a computer that is ecconomical,
durable, as fast as possible, and able to be upgraded well
into the forseeable future takes TIME. Lots of it. Anyone
who tells you otherwise ISN'T DOING THEIR JOB OR DOESN'T
KNOW ANY BETTER.
Our antivirus(malware)
research and reporting has to be stopped. Sorry for this,
but updates were so seldom forthcoming that I felt it wise
to stop. Again, this takes several hours every day to stay
on top of this.
Our Linux distro MAY still
continue to be worked on. There are some exciting things
happening right now, and I am trying to alter our distro
to incorporate them. I can't reveal too much right now,
but this sucker could be a barn burner. Even at it's current
state of development it looks better than Vista, runs really
quickly, and just the other day I had a version running
on a pentium 166 !!! (just tried it for jokes, but it not
only worked, it ran really well....nice surprise)
Now if I could just figure out how to make money
out of it...lol.
Other parts of this site,
such as the "cool apps" section will most likely
continue somewhere down the road. Let me know if you have
any suggestions. I have to withhold my email from the site
for a bit. I got harvested by spam bots and I'm getting
quite a few right now. I'll put up a form soon.

it could be), but it is a very worthwhile project. Looking
forward to seeing these guys succeed. Dreamers is going
